Did your pet get sprayed by a SKUNK?!!
There are no miracle cures to get rid of skunk smell on pets that have been sprayed, but here is a recipe of common household ingredients that has had some success!
– 4 L of 3% hydrogen peroxide
– 1/4 cup baking soda
– 1 tsp liquid dish soap (lemon apparently works well!)
*** bath as normal (leave solution on for 5 minutes) taking care to not get it in the eyes. Use a moistened cloth on the face and around the eyes. Rinse well with clean, warm water.
There are also commercial skunk-off shampoos available at the clinic.
